The National Federation of the Blind works to promote the complete integration of the blind into society on a basis of equality. They provide public education about blindness, information and referral services, scholarships, literature and publications about blindness, aids and appliances and other adaptive equipment for the blind, advocacy services and protection of civil rights, employment assistance and support services, development and evaluation of technology, and support for blind persons and their families.

Many times a child’s ongoing medical conditions often require additional resources to assist parents and caregivers. With our Family Support Resource Directory, you can search resources that span over the 20-county area that Dayton Children’s serves. You can quickly connect to local, regional and national resources to help you locate information about education, healthcare, financial, transition, recreation, networking, future planning and more.

- Finally, below is a search bar specifically for our Special Needs Resource Center that you can tailor to your county or specific needs.
In addition to the resource center, we also offer the complete KidsHealth Library to help parents learn more about a specific condition. Information is given in easy-to-understand terms and in many cases available in Spanish as well as English.
