Thank you for your interest in the ACGME accredited integrated pediatric residency training program of the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine! Inpatient educational experiences take place at Dayton Children's Hospital, a 181-bed, freestanding children’s hospital that serves the greater Dayton area and 20 counties in Ohio and eastern Indiana. The unique nature of the integrated program also allows residents to work at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Medical Center Pediatric Clinic. These geographically close (only four miles!) but unique settings have much to offer, affording residents experience with a wide variety of patients from different ethnic, socioeconomic, and geographic settings. Each facility is staffed by a faculty of pediatric generalists and subspecialists recruited for their commitment to education and clinical excellence. During their training, residents explore all aspects of Pediatrics including outpatient care, inpatient care, and scholarly activities such as education, research, and quality improvement. At the end of the three-year residency, our graduates are well prepared for careers in primary care or the pursuit of subspeciality fellowship training.
