residents

Amber Sandlin, PharmD

PGY1 pharmacy resident

  • residency year: 2023-2024
  • hometown: Ross, OH
  • pharmacy school: University of Tennessee Health Science Center
  • after residency: endocrine clinical pharmacist at Dayton Children's
  • Why I chose this program: I discovered a love for pediatric medicine during an emergency medicine APPE during my final year or pharmacy school and knew I had to pursue it. When comparing programs, Dayton Children's stood out as a place for people who are extremely passionate about providing exceptional patient care and facilitating professional growth. I'm grateful to be serving a diverse patietn population with preceptors from equally diverse backgrounds and varying areas of expertise.

Matt Schubert, PharmD

PGY1 pharmacy resident

  • residency year: 2023-2024
  • hometown: Libertyville, IL
  • pharmacy school: University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy - Twin Cities
  • after residency: emergency medicine clinical pharmacist at Dayton Children's
  • Why I chose this program: My passion for serving a primarily pediatric population drove me to search for a standalone pediatric hospital. Dayton Children's serves a diverse patient population and is a welcoming, accepting environment where pharmacists can thrive. The pharmacy department is excited to have pharmacy residents and all of the preceptors are eager to foster the development for not only their residents, but also their peers.
