about us

the pediatric difference

Taking your child to see a psychologist can be scary and overwhelming. You probably feel like you have more questions than answers. But when you come to Dayton Children’s, you can be assured that you will feel comfortable with the care provided.

Our psychologists are trained especially to work with kids, especially those with chronic medical conditions such as diabetes or cancer. Due to their extensive training and experience working with kids, they are able to identify what are normal developmental behaviors and what might require additional counseling.

Our psychologists know that each child is different and therefore they spend the appropriate time needed for each child to complete a thorough evaluation in a caring and compassionate environment. Your child’s psychologist will take the time to listen, understand and develop a behavioral health plan unique for them.
