group volunteers
Various opportunities exist for corporate and group volunteers to assist at Dayton Children's. Typically, the intention is to help on a specific project or provide a needed service once or twice a year. Most of the time our group volunteers help with campus beautification projects both inside and outside the hospital. This might include simple landscaping, cleaning up trash, organization projects, cleaning toys, assisting with special fundraising events etc…
Since project volunteers are not at Dayton Children's on a regular long-term schedule, they are not required to go through the application/interview process, attend volunteer orientation or complete the required health screening. Because they do not complete the above requirements, they are unable to be involved with direct patient care or perform tasks in clinical areas. Also, all group volunteers must be over 18 and have completed high school.
If your group is interested in visiting to deliver toys or other items, do an activity with patients, or put on a performance, please contact our child life department. Learn more
