Ohio Hospice of Dayton

Ohio Hospice of Dayton - Hospice of Dayton offers individual counseling to help children (ages 6 and older) with their grief and can provide emergency and group counseling for schools and organizations following a loss. They offer individual counseling and family counseling both before and after the passing of the ill patient. Their services are free to the family and families do not need to be receiving hospice services to get counseling there. Pathways of Hope programs helping children include: Individual and Family Counseling, Healing Pathways School Based Services, and Cam Pathways for ages 5 - 17 (can do 1x coaching for parents for children under 7). Ohio Hospice Pathways of Hope

They offer support groups, counseling (individual, family, and group), and camps. Most services are free, some cost for camps. They offering counseling for ages 0+ and 7+ for camps.

Specializes in: Excessive worrying or sadness, lack of motivation, disruptive behavior, inattentiveness or difficulty concentrating, moodiness, low self-esteem, social skills, concerns about encounters on social media, bullying, life skills, including problem solving, substance use issues, family issues, legal concerns

Insurance: Medicaid, including Care source, Buckeye, United Healthcare, Paramount, and Molina.

Families may schedule directly or be referred by school personnel

Ohio's Community Mercy Hospice - Grief Support

Community Mercy Hospice provides compassionate support and education for bereaved adults, children and teenagers, and their families. With guidance and instruction through their bereavement services, these individuals recognize that they are not alone and learn to cope with the loss of a loved one in his or her own special way. Counseling and support groups are offered free of charge, even if hospice services were not used. Please call or visit the website for more information.

Generations of Life is a service of Hospice of Miami County, which is open to all residents of Miami County and the surrounding communities who are seeking grief education and bereavement support.
