Eating Disorders Program at Nationwide Children's Hospital

Eating Disorders Program at Nationwide Children's Hospital offers a eating disorder program that includes several levels of care. They have outpatient, intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization. Their multidisciplinary team that provides care for each of these levels. When referred to the Eating Disorder Program, adolescents first undergo a diagnostic assessment provided by a behavioral health therapist, dietitian and adolescent medicine physician. The assessment determines the appropriate level of care for the adolescent or child. Patients recommended for intensive outpatient or partial hospitalization care will be referred to the team psychiatrist who will conduct an assessment and recommend the appropriate program. Eating Recovery Center of Ohio specializes in treatment for adults and adolescents suffering from anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, obesity, and other unspecified eating disorders. Comprehensive outpatient and inpatient programs and services are available to meet the recovery needs of patients and families at every stage of the treatment spectrum. At each level of care, individualized and developmentally appropriate treatment plans deliver evidence-based medical, psychiatric, psychological, and nutritional interventions to help patients and families find lasting recovery.

ERC Ohio offers adolescent and adult intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs. Residential and inpatient treatment available in Denver and Chicago, Washington, Texas, Baltimore, California. PHP treatment is 7 days per week, 11 hours per day. IOP treatment is 3 days/9 hours per week. Typical residential length of stay ranges between 2-8 weeks.
