family support resource directory

Many times a child’s ongoing medical conditions often require additional resources to assist parents and caregivers. With our Family Support Resource Directory, you can search resources that span over the 20-county area that Dayton Children’s serves. You can quickly connect to local, regional and national resources to help you locate information about education, healthcare, financial, transition, recreation, networking, future planning and more.

This guide is organized to help you find the information that you need:

  • To the right are pages specific to parents, professionals and teens. This may be a good starting point for those new to our directory.
  • To the left is a list of categories that our resources cover.
  • Finally, below is a search bar specifically for our Special Needs Resource Center that you can tailor to your county or specific needs.

In addition to the resource center, we also offer the complete KidsHealth Library to help parents learn more about a specific condition. Information is given in easy-to-understand terms and in many cases available in Spanish as well as English.

We encourage you to explore and feel free to add resources that are currently not included by emailing FRC@childrensdayton.org. If you can’t find what you are looking for, please don’t hesitate to contact our MeadWestvaco Family Resource Center at (937) 641-3700.
