Dayton Children’s Hospital is recruiting for a 3rd neurosurgeon due to an upcoming retirement in mid-2018. Candidates must have completed an accredited pediatric neurosurgery fellowship, be board certified/board eligible in pediatric neurosurgery, hold or obtain a medical license in Ohio and have a track record in clinical research.

He/She must bring out the best in the people around them and encourage open discussion of sharing of opinions in a professional and safe environment.
The clinical practice includes only pediatric patients at a Level II trauma center with newly renovated facilities, state-of-the-art equipment, 3 MRI scanners, nuclear medicine, and EEG monitoring unit capable of electrocorticography in phase II epilepsy studies. Call is 1:3 and is generally light with support from trauma and pediatric residents, 2 nurse practitioners, a clinical nurse and full office staff. The environment is collegial and supportive, with a focus on teamwork and mentorship. The current neurosurgeons partner on most elective cases.
Research time includes up to 20% of protected time, a generous laboratory startup package and designated space at Wright State University and the hospital.
