Power has been restored to The Child Health Pavilion. Dayton Children's Pediatrics will begin seeing patients again tomorrow.

All surgeries and outpatient clinic appointments scheduled at Dayton Children's for today May 29, 2019 will proceed as normal. The one exception is appointments with Dayton Children's Pediatrics located in the Child Health Pavilion at 1010 Valley Street - these are canceled as the building is still without power.

Kids Express and the Beavercreek outpatient care center are both open and operational today.

The Beavercreek outpatient care center is temporarily closed. For care, patients should visit one of our other outpatient care centers or our main or south campus.

Kids Express is temporarily closed due to internet outage.  For care, patients should visit our south campus urgent care or emergency department located at 3333 West Tech Road.

At this time power has been restored to the following facilities:

• Dayton Children’s main campus
• Outpatient center at main campus
• Outpatient pavilion at main campus
• Home Care
• Cox building
• 436 Valley Street (marketing, foundation, value improvement)
• 741 Valley Street (employee health, Special Wish)
• Child Care Center (closed for the day)

At this time the following facilities still do not have power:

• Tech Town
• The Child Health Pavilion (Which includes Dayton Children’s Pediatrics)

The hospital’s main and south campuses are still under the City of Dayton’s boil advisory and bottled water is being provided to families and staff. As part of the advisory, families and staff are being asked to conserve water. All food service is up and running and not impacted.

Community residents who have children who require oxygen or other medical support that requires power can bring them to our emergency department if needed.

At this time, our clinics are without phone service. Clinic staff are working on contacting families with appointments today to advise them how to proceed. If you have an appointment today, you may wait to be contacted or come in as normal and be directed from there.

At this time, Dayton Children’s Hospital main campus is operating on generator power. This provides essential power for life-safety services. The emergency room, inpatient areas, surgery, pharmacy, lab, imaging, CT services, trauma and transport are operating as normal.

Out of an abundance of caution, elective surgeries are being rescheduled. Urgent or emergent surgical cases will continue.

South campus is operating as normal.

Several other facilities in the Dayton Children’s network are without power at this time. They include the outpatient center at main campus (ambulatory clinics), outpatient pavilion at main campus, Home Care,  Cox building, Tech Town, 436 Valley Street (marketing, foundation, value improvement), 741 Valley Street (employee health, Special Wish) and the child care center. 

If you are scheduled for a clinic appointment today at the MAIN campus, please stand by. We are also still assessing our outpatient testing centers. 

DP&L is unable to give us a time frame for when power will be restored. We will update this webpage as we have more information. Please also follow us on social media for updates.
