Destry Fallen honored as a 2024 Leader in Diversity by the Dayton Business Journal
Congratulations to Destry Fallen, Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) , for being honored as a 2024 Leader in Diversity by the Dayton Business Journal.
The Leaders in Diversity awards celebrate individuals and organizations that actively champion the business case for diversity and equity. These awards recognize leaders who drive inclusion in their workplaces and industries, making a meaningful impact on their communities.
This award recognizes Destry’s remarkable leadership in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion at Dayton Children’s and throughout the broader community. With over 30 years of service at Dayton Children’s, Destry has been instrumental in creating a more inclusive workplace since stepping into his current role three years ago. He has led transformative initiatives such as the DEI ambassador program and the establishment of multiple Employee Resource Groups. Additionally, Destry spearheaded the hospital’s participation in key community events, including the Legacy of Freedom Juneteenth Celebration and the Dayton Pride Parade.
"We are doing amazing, transformative work and this recognition is a testament to all the intentional, sometimes more challenging than anticipated, work folks are putting in to make Dayton Children’s the best place for all our caretakers to thrive," shares Destry.
