Objectives:

  1. Describe the updated International Society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies classification system for vascular malformations and tumors. 

  2. Cite the multidisciplinary approach to diagnosis and management of patients with complex vascular anomalies.

  3. Recognize the underlying somatic genetic mutations associated with vascular malformations and the targeted molecular therapies used in patients with complex vascular anomalies.

  4. Delineate the role of surgical management in the multidisciplinary treatment approach for vascular malformations and tumors.
