Paul Houser, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician and child and adolescent psychiatrist in the inpatient behavioral health unit at Dayton Children's Hospital. He has a special interest in feeding and eating disorders, and is the medical director of the eating disorder program.

I chose my specialty because...

Psychiatry allows me the chance to spend time really listening to and connecting with every child that I treat. Each child's mental health needs are unique and require a personalized approach tailored to them.

I like working with kids because...

They keep me young! Children say what they think and are open to learning new things about how the world works. They keep me honest and challenge me to see the world in new and different ways.

We don't have any doubt that Dr. Houser's priority is the health and well-being of our daughter. We feel very blessed to have access to all of the staff at the Eating Disorder Clinic. It is very reassuring that your child is in the best possible hands and we appreciate all the efforts that have been made to help our daughter heal.

The entire care team at the Eating Disorder clinic has been so wonderful. I can't say enough good things about, Dr. Houser, Danielle our dietitian, the nurses, and Scott Bullock. Even the staff who check us in at the front desk do so with care and empathy.
