get to know me

I chose my specialty because...

I enjoy working with patients and families with chronic diseases. I like to teach and give the families and the patients the tools to succeed.

I like working with kids because...

They are our future. They are smart and hungry for knowledge and can be taught to how to live healthy and productive lives. And I so appreciate their honesty! It has brought a smile to my face on many occasions!

I chose to work at Dayton Children's because...

I have been on staff at Dayton Children's since 1993, when I first moved to Dayton as a member of the United States Air Force. I retired from the military in 2007, and I wanted to continue to work at a children’s hospital. Dayton Children's was the obvious choice.

Dayton Children's is special because...

It is big enough for multiple subspecialties and state-of-the-art technology, but small enough to provide personal attention and one on one care.

Dr. Pfeifer has been the best doctor for several years for me and she provided service at a time in my life where I was scared when I was just a very mild teenager. So I'm very happy that she's been my doctor and wish others could have her as well.
