Dr. Almazan is a pediatric endocrinologist at Dayton Children’s and a clinical assistant professor of pediatrics at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. She came to Dayton Children's after completing her fellowship at Children's Hospital of Buffalo/State University of Buffalo in Buffalo, New York. She came to Dayton Children's to support our mission of serving children and their families. Dr. Almazan enjoys helping kids reach their highest potential.

It was one of the best appointments I've ever been a part of! My son is PETRIFIED of needles (he is 14 and has had some bad experiences with doctors & dentists) and the doctor explained to him exactly why she needed a blood sample and how there was really no other way to get the answers. It was obvious she has done this a long time. She and the nurse were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive to my son. The blood draw went so very well and after my son said it hurt but it wasn't as bad as he thought it would be. Thank you for being so meticulous to hire great medical staff to care for our children! ??

Dr. Almazan was excellent. She explained everything really well. My only feedback would be that our child's thyroid numbers weren't really high enough to be seen. So, if they could maybe screen what the primary doctor sends over to check that it's reason for alarm or not, that could be helpful. Otherwise, it was a great visit, and we really appreciated her time. Thank you.
