Dr Almazan has listened to us since our first visit 1yr ago. At the start, she advised that testing would show whether or not our child needed her help. She tested him for deficiencies. After 1yr of zero growth, we had been referred to her by our pediatrician. Dr Almazan did all the required tests. Bone age, blood tests. She did a growth hormone stimulus test. They found my son wasn't producing growth hormones. He also had a brain MRI to see if the pituitary gland had a problem. There was a cyst, which is common and probably not a problem. We first came to Dr Almazan with a growth problem. She has addressed that with a year of successful growth hormone replacement. But, she is always attune to possible other issues, headaches, & puberty hasn't started on its own. At 14.5yrs that is unusual. She's being a bit cautious and waiting to see if his body might start puberty on its own. Our next follow up is sooner than usual because she is willing to wait but is also concerned that we may need to also replace his puberty hormones. I feel confident that Dr Almazan has my son's best health interests in mind. We trust her and appreciate her. Considering she is the doc who receives her prescribed nightly injections, my son also has a favorable opinion of Dr Almazan. That's a positive relationship.

Dr Almazan was great. This was my child's fasting lab visit. His labs were supposed to be at 7:50 am. They did not get done until 9:50. Need to have more than one phlebotomist on staff. Very frustrating appointment.
