Dayton Children’s expands services and consolidates location in Beavercreek in new Mills Development project

move will make care more convenient and add a key service for Greene County families

Dayton Children’s Hospital will make care even more convenient for families with a new outpatient care center to be located just north of Dayton-Xenia and North Fairfield Roads in Beavercreek.  This center will consolidate the developmental rehabilitation, lab and imaging services that are currently located in two separate spaces on Dayton-Xenia Road. More space in the new location will allow for the expansion of developmental rehabilitation services and the addition of sports rehabilitation services.

The hospital will lease space inside the building from Mills Development, the Beavercreek-based commercial real estate and construction company.  Mills Development will be submitting plans shortly to the city for the approximately 12 acre site. The single story building will be 35,000 square feet and cost $12 million to build. Crews expect to start construction in November 2019 and finish a year later. Plans for other portions of the site include a Dunkin’ Donuts already under construction, additional retail, and medical and professional office development.

“We’re excited to be a part of further development of our community in such a vibrant area in the heart of downtown Beavercreek,” says Jerad Barnett, president and CEO of Mills Development. “We purchased this property at the end of 2017 and, after discussions with Dayton Children’s, knew that it was the perfect spot for expansion of their services in the east market.”

“Synergy is a key collaborator as we expand our reach to encourage optimal health in our children,” says Cindy Burger, vice president and chief experience officer, whose responsibilities include overseeing facilities and construction projects at the hospital. “They did a fantastic job expanding our south campus in Springboro in 2016 so we are excited to team up with our long-time partner again for a new project.”

Two primary care pediatric offices will also relocate to space inside the new building. Pediatric Associates of Dayton will move about a half a mile from its current location at 3140 Dayton-Xenia Road. “We are looking forward to moving into this new space,” says David Roer, MD, pediatrician for Pediatric Associates of Dayton. “It will allow us to accommodate our patients with more space in a modern new building. Having access to services provided by Dayton Children’s Hospital is just an added bonus.”

PriMed Beavercreek Pediatrics and PriMed Beavercreek Family Practice will relocate less than 2 miles south from the current 2322 Lakeview Drive address. “This is another step in creating the office of the future in all our locations,” says Ted Inman, CEO of PriMed Physicians. “We know that our patients will appreciate the advancements that this new space allows us to implement seamlessly into their care.”
