Sarah Steward, MD, is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Dayton Children's. In addition to practicing general pediatric orthopedic surgery and fracture care, her expertise is in pediatric sports medicine. Dr. Steward is working to grow the pediatric sports medicine program at Dayton Children's and provides the surgical care of sports injuries within a comprehensive team of practitioners that is uniquely focused on the child athlete.
She is a Beavercreek native and played college basketball at Marquette University and also for one year professionally in Finland.

I appreciate that my female athlete is being cared for by a female surgeon. We appreciate Dr. Steward and her example of excellence.

The whole visit was very dismissive. It felt like no matter what I said or how we explained it- their mind was made up That it was some type of growing pain. We waited 30+ minutes before seen and then another 20+ minutes just for a brace. Unacceptable.

I completely understand the doctor spends time with the patients and their families to explain everything, but they were running very behind. It was just a little frustrating for my son because he was dealing with a migraine. The doctor, nurse, and the gentleman who did my son's cast were wonderful, and very informative

Dr. Steward was very knowledgeable and she took her time with us. She answered all questions, explained things in a way that we would understand, and she also went out of her way to really show us exactly what she was talking about on the MRIs. We left there feeling empowered and knowing what our next steps were, and we appreciated that.
