Ramakrishna Mutyala, MBBS, is a pediatric gastroenterologist at Dayton Children’s Hospital and assistant professor of pediatrics at Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University. He has expertise in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), eosinophilic esophagitis (EOE) and constipation.
He completed his medical education at Rajiv Gandhi Health University in Bengaluru, India. He completed his residency in pediatrics at Wayne State University & Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Following residency, he went on to complete his pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Utah & Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City.
One of his favorite things about working with children is that they are resilient and bounce back quickly!
Outside of work Dr. Mutyala enjoys biking, hiking and exploring new parks!

Dr. Mutyala and his staff are.just exceptional. He made additional time in his schedule to see our son who was experiencing an acute onset of stomach issues. The nurse was warm and thoughtful and listened to us and conveyed our experience to the doctor with wonderful accuracy and insight. Dr. Mutyala was also warm and patient and went so far to help us understand his evaluation and treatment plan. He was also warm and congenial and made my 7yo son feel comfortable and engaged in his care as well.

Dr. Mutyala was terrific. He went out of his way to engage with my son about their shared interests before transitioning to an important conversation about his health and wellness going forward.

Dr. Mutyala listened to my concerns and took his time assessing my child and explaining different treatment routes and the plan of care we will be doing.

Provider was fine. Upon coming to childrens I was told my granddaughter would have a woman doctor so having a male was very upsetting to her would like to have my request honored next time though
