Amy Schopperth, MHA, BSN, RN, TCRN, is the trauma program manager at Dayton Children's Soin Pediatric Trauma and Emergency Center. This program provides:
- 24-hour immediate coverage by general surgeons, as well as coverage by the specialties of orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, anesthesiology, emergency medicine, radiology and critical care.
- Trauma prevention and continuing education programs for staff.
- A comprehensive quality assessment program.
The trauma team is responsible for reviewing trauma care provided, collecting trauma data for the region, state and national trauma data standards, guiding key stakeholders across the continuum of trauma care in the current standards and guiding research efforts to improve trauma care.
Amy has a special interest in performance improvement related to improving trauma clinical care and processes.
