Dr. Cohn comes back to Dayton Children’s after serving as an attending physician at Mercy Children’s Hospital in Toledo, as well as director of pediatric resident research and a clinic professor of pediatrics at the University Of Toledo College Of Medicine. Dr. Cohn received his medical degree from Boston University’s School of Medicine and completed an internship, residency and fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, Case Western University Hospital in Cleveland.  Dr. Cohn is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric pulmonary medicine and serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Asthma and the Journal of Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine.  He also holds a master’s of business administration degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Asthma is the number one reason children are admitted to Dayton Children’s so targeting and treating the disease is a big priority.  The pulmonary medicine department saw 7,308 children last year.  Dr. Cohn will now lead a team of five highly trained specialists in caring for those children with asthma and other respiratory problems.
