community teaching kitchen

At Dayton Children’s we know that health education doesn’t just happen in a clinic visit or when a child is hospitalized. This is especially true when it comes to what a child eats. That’s why we provide community programs to educate parents on topics such as picky eating and healthy lifestyles. We want to bring our knowledge of nutrition for kids to you!

Our monthly classes are interactive workshops for both parents and kids. During these 1-hour lessons, you will learn tips, guidelines and problem solving techniques for building a healthy and nutritious lifestyle for your family.

These classes are all taught by one of our registered pediatric dietitians. They are free and open to anyone in our community.

To find an upcoming class and register please email us at  callene@childrensdayton.org or 937-461-4667 to speak to a dietitian liaison.
