Dayton Children's 2024 annual report honors

Every year brings new advances and new adventures at Dayton Children’s. Here are the year’s highlights.

partnering for primary care

We are transforming children’s health in our region through innovative primary care partnerships. This year, Dayton Children’s joined forces with PriMed Pediatrics, Pediatric Associates of Dayton and Wilson Health, while launching Kids Express Tipp City for quick, convenient care. Our efforts expanded to the Greater Dayton School with a school-based clinic, improving access to primary care, OT, speech and mental health services.

record year for fundraising

This year also marked a record year for fundraising for the hospital with the Women’s Board raising $1.3 million to benefit mental health at the 2024 cha|cha fundraising event and the TWIGS auxiliary raising a record $272,341 in the Gem City Jam golf outing. All told, the Do.More. so all kids thrive comprehensive campaign so far has raised a whopping $65+ million.

To address the continued mental health crisis, the hospital expanded several services:

  • Outpatient therapy expanded to Beavercreek and Huber Heights
  • Announced a new facility in Springboro to consolidate and expand mental health services closer to home.
  • Entered the final phase of construction for the Mathile Center for Mental Health and Wellness which will begin seeing patients in summer 2025
  • Synthesized community-based mental health services with the creation of the Center for Emotional Wellbeing. This includes student resiliency coordinators, community health workers and the On Our Sleeves® movement and many more under one umbrella for greater impact and alignment.
