Objectives:

  1. Cite the ongoing unique nutritional needs of preterm infants following discharge to home from the NICU/SCN.
  2. Describe best practices for assessing growth and nutritional intake of former preterm infants.
  3. Recognize the need for routine vitamin and mineral supplementation for preterm infants discharged from the NICU.
  4. Identify common feeding challenges of preterm infants and ways to support families as they transition to caring for their infant (s) at home.
