Jena Pado appointed to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Board of Governors
Dayton Children’s Hospital is proud to announce that Jena Pado, Vice President and Chief Development Officer, has been appointed to the Board of Governors for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN). With more than 25 years of experience in philanthropy and a proven track record of transformational leadership, Pado will play a vital role in supporting CMN’s mission to improve the lives of children across North America.
Pado has been instrumental in advancing Dayton Children’s philanthropic efforts during her 21 years with the organization. She currently leads the hospital’s ambitious Do.More. so all kids thrive campaign, a $75 million initiative focused on removing barriers to care, advancing medical excellence and addressing the growing mental health needs of children in the region. Previously, she spearheaded a $27 million campaign for the hospital’s eight-story patient tower, among other record-breaking achievements.
Since assuming leadership of the Dayton Children’s Hospital Foundation in 2014, Pado and her team have raised over $133,300,000, fueling groundbreaking projects like the Mathile Center for Mental Health and Wellness set to open in 2025.
Her deep connection to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is reflected in her long-standing contributions. Pado has served on CMN’s Chief Development Officer Advisory Committee since 2020, where she played a pivotal role in negotiating the CMN Membership Agreement and ensuring its successful rollout for hospitals across the U.S. She also serves on the MAP Council, working to realign hospital markets for greater fundraising impact. In 2022, she was named CMN’s Chief Development Officer of the Year in recognition of her outstanding leadership.
“I’m honored to join the Board of Governors for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals,” said Pado. “The incredible support of CMN’s local partners has been transformative for Dayton Children’s Hospital and I look forward to contributing to their mission on a broader scale. Together, we can ensure that every child has access to the care and resources they need to thrive.”
Pado’s extensive community involvement also includes leadership roles with organizations like the Dayton Ballet, YWCA Dayton and the Dayton Rotary. Her dedication to philanthropy has earned her numerous accolades, including recognition as one of the Top 25 Women to Watch by Women in Business Networking and the Outstanding Fundraising Executive award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
