St. Aloysius Partial Hospitalization and The After School Partial Hospitalization Program

Partial Hospitalization Program and the After School Partial Hospitalization Program provides a safe, caring, instructional learning environment for children ages 5-15 with a variety of emotional and behavioral difficulties. Many of the children have been victims of neglect, physical and sexual abuse and have witnessed domestic violence, substance abuse and conflicts in their families. In addition, the programs may be used for those children who have not been able to stabilize in traditional learning environments as well as in cases where a comprehensive assessment would help identify diagnostic data and appropriate placement recommendations.

Referrals originate from the area offices of Hamilton County Job and Family Services (FAIR), Hope for Children and Families and Children Service Boards from outlying counties. The typical length of stay in the program is between three to six months. Several factors that determine length of stay include but are not limited to the client’s attendance in the program, guardian involvement in treatment as well as guardian compliance with team recommendations.

The admissions department is the point of entry for admissions to our partial hospitalization, after school partial hospitalization, all day school, foster care, and outpatient referrals in Hamilton County. The admissions department educates professionals and families as to how to make a referral for services, what services are available as well as evaluate referral materials.
