expert care for hospitalized kids

When your child is admitted to the hospital, a pediatric hospitalist often serves as the attending physician leading their care team. These doctors are experts in diagnosing and managing everything from sudden illnesses to complex medical conditions that require inpatient care.

Hospitalists work alongside specialists, such as surgeons, neurologists, cardiologists and more, as well as your child’s primary care provider to make sure all aspects of your child’s care are connected. They focus on clear and timely communication, careful monitoring and seamless transitions when your child is ready to go home.

family-centered care

Family-centered care is at the heart of everything we do. We know you know your child best—and we want you to be an active part of your child’s care team. Our hospitalists and nurses will keep you informed about your child’s progress, test results and next steps every day.

During family-centered rounds each morning, your child’s care team visits the room to review the care plan, discuss any updates and answer your questions. These conversations are an important time to share your insights and make sure we’re all working together toward the same goals.
