| The Staff Respiratory Therapist III performs medically prescribed general, intermediate, and intensive respiratory care as a member of the multi-disciplinary health care team under the guidance and direction of the Neonatal or Pediatric Coordinator. Professional duties include: Oxygen Therapy, Bland and Medicated Aerosol Therapy, Airway Clearance Techniques, Assisted Ventilation Techniques, Blood Gas Sampling and Analysis, Non-Invasive Blood Gas Monitoring, Airway Management, Mechanical Ventilation, CPR, Bedside Pulmonary Function Testing, Sleep Assessment, Breathing Retraining, Home Care Instruction, Patient/ Parent Education and Smoking Cessation Counseling, In-House and Ambulance Transport. Job duties include 2 shifts of call per month. Associate's degree, 1-2 years Pediatric resp. care, RRT Licensure and airway skills required. Bachelor's degree, 3-4 Pediatric resp. care and transport experience preferred. Hours: 7p-7a, e/o weekend and every 3rd holiday. |
