| Performs medically prescribed general, intermediate, and intensive respiratory care as a member of the multi-disciplinary health care team under the guidance and direction of the Neonatal or Pediatric Coordinator. Professional duties include: oxygen therapy, bland and medicated aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene, assisted ventilation techniques, blood gas sampling and analysis, non-invasive blood gas monitoring, airway management, mechanical ventilation, CPR, bedside pulmonary function testing, sleep assessment, breathing retraining, home care instruction, asthma care education, and smoking counseling. Job duties include 2 shifts of call per month. AD in Respiratory Care, RCP licensure and certification required or graduate to be certified in one year. BS, 1-2 years experience in pediatric respiratory care and RRT preferred. Hours: 7p-7a, variable schedule to include e/o weekend. |
